This is the paper that is hard to tear or rip, but will cut with scissors easily! Similar to the postal service mailing envelope material. See images below:
ECR Is Amazingly Light:ECR sheets are considerably lighter than paper envelopes and boxes, yet they're considerably stronger. By making your shipments lighter, ECR can significantly reduce your shipping and mailing costs.
ECR Is Water-Resistant:ECR is incredibly water and moisture-resistant, making it just as protective in a hurricane as it is from a coffee spill at the office. Liquids simply run off its smooth surface, keeping the contents perfectly dry. In fact, because ECR sheets are unaffected by moisture, common acids or bases, they're ideal for long-term storage and archival purposes, too.
ECR Is Rip-Resistant:We don't recommend trying to destroy a ECR envelope or sheet. Because ECR sheets are puncture and rip-resistant, which allows them to stand up to the sort of rough handling that papers can be subjected to during mailing, shipping and delivery. That's nice to know when you've got something important inside.
ECR Is Not Paper!:ECR has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than paper and other envelope and printing materials. It's not only significantly lighter than paper, it's stronger. Which can be pretty important when you're sending something heavy or bulky. And when paper gets wet it absorbs moisture and falls apart. Amazingly, ECR doesn't. Paper can also be torn, frayed, punctured and destroyed easily. ECR resists all these dangers. And printing on ECR creates brilliant results. So when you actually stop and think about it, when you need protection, why would you choose anything but ECR sheets?
